James and Eileen reside in Bedford, Nova Scotia. Bedford is a suburb of Halifax and part of HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality). On the south coast of Nova Scotia, the area is best known as a harbour area. Halifax harbour leads into the Bedford Basin, which Bedford overlooks. The Basin is where warships were stationed during WW11 prior to crossing the Atlantic. Across the harbour from Halifax is Dartmouth. Ferries cross the harbour linking the communities as do two bridges. Close by, on the Lighthouse Trail, is famous Peggy's Cove, the sailing community of Chester as well as quaint Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Cape Breton is a 2-hour drive from Bedford where there are the famous Trails of the Cape, including the Cabot Trail. To the north of Bedford is the Annapolis Valley, famous for apples, agriculture and wines. The Valley overlooks the Bay of Fundy, which has the world's highest tides. Nova Scotia is a beautiful province and the friendly people offer Maritime hospitality.
